Aboard the boat you will find copies of special equipment that Jacques-Yves Cousteau used in his research.
This ship was an ordinary minesweeper until world-famous oceanographer Jacques-Yves Cousteau converted it.
The Helicopter Padan, underwater observation compartment, scientific equipment, mini-submarines, underwater scooters, and more were installed by Cousteau to remake the ship into the legendary Calypso.
While building our model of the research yacht, we tried to reproduce the minor details of Calipso.
Almost all special equipment can be moved: a helicopter with spinning propellers, mini-submarines are lowered on a winch, the anchor is lifted on a "chain"
Also the model has a unique hand mechanism that sets the boat in motion. Thanks to the wheels, it can travel 3–4 meters on a flat surface.
